| Diogenes
Rivas invited Mr. Viazovtsev to
participate in the contemporary music
festival “A
Tempo” (Caracas, Venezuela) as
a member of the Chamber Players of CCM,
UC (R. Winther – conductor). There he
performed in a series of chamber music
concerts as a member of the ensemble as
well as a featured soloist (July
2002). |

participated in the Dr. Roig-Francoli’s
recording project (March 2002) for his
new theory textbook “Harmony in
Context” published by
McGraw-Hill. |

| Alexander
also participated in many master-classes
and workshops, including those of Moscow
Conservatory professors A.Korneev and
Y.Dolzhikov; the FAME workshop in
New Jersey, USA, with Julius Baker; and
others. |

Biography |
| Alexander
Viazovtsev, born in Siberia, Russia in
1979. Graduated from Tchaikovskiy's
Music College of Ekaterinburg, Russia,
with an Honors Diploma in performance
and teaching (1997). He studied in
Ural State Conservatory, Ekaterinburg
(1997 - 2000) Russia with Honored
artist of Russia, Professor Anatoly
Sidorov. In 2000 he transferred to the
College-Conservatory of Music in
Cincinnati, OH where he completed the
requirements for an Artists Diploma
2002 working with Dr. Brad Garner.
Alexander
served as acting principal
flutist with the
Phoenix Symphony
Orchestra for the 2005-2006
season, and principal flutist with the
Virginia
Symphony Orchestra for the
2004-2005 season. |
